<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both reduction of storage capacity that is required upon executing hyperresolution processing and generation of high-resolution image data of desired image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming method of an image forming apparatus can execute a hyperresolution process for generating image data of high resolution using a plurality of image data of low resolution. The method comprises a step (step S801) which acquires a plurality of image data having low resolution, steps (steps S802-804) for selecting image data to be deleted among the plurality of acquired image data based on spatial frequency information, color information, or phase shift information which each image data has, steps (steps S802-804) for deleting the image data that has been selected, and a step of storing remaining image data, having been not deleted, among the plurality of image data as an image data used for the hyperresolution process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
