<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content evaluation method and system for accurately and quantitatively evaluating the value of content created by editing content raw materials, based on the value intended by the provider of the content raw materials with respect to the raw materials. <P>SOLUTION: A value setting part 1 sets provider ID, raw material ID and value or the like as value information "H" with respect to content raw materials "Y". A content DB2 is disposed on a network, and a plurality of content raw materials A, B and C and so on are registered in the DB 2 in association with the value information "H". A content generation part 3 is managed by a distributer who generates content for viewing by editing the respective content raw materials, and configured to generate content for viewing by extracting a part or whole of the sections of the respective content raw materials A, B and C.
