<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oil retaining wall for apparatus containing an oil having improved oil retaining capability and provide a construction method for the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The oil raining wall 1 includes a base part 2 where for example an oil immersed transformer is installed, concrete-made oil retaining walls 2, 3, 4 formed as surrounding the base part for oil immersed transformer and a multiple sheet 10 with oil resistant function covering the bottom part and the inner wall of the oil retaining wall, wherein the multiple sheet is supported with sheet end supporting members 6, 7 in a free displacement without being fixed to the concrete part and the multiple sheet has an upper protecting sheet 13, a water shielding sheet 12 with oil resistant function and a lower protecting sheet 11 and each sheet can move freely without being fixed to each other.
