PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system using a simply constructed connector for easily covering a space between adjacent luminaires. SOLUTION: The connector 22 is formed in a wholly portal sectional shape with a pair of leg portions 22a and a top plate 22b connecting the upper ends of the leg portions 22a to each other, and the connector 22 is mounted inside between luminaire bodies 23, 23 arranged adjacent to each other on one straight line. So, after the luminaire bodies 23 are arranged adjacent to each other, the simply constructed connector 22 can be easily mounted thereon for covering a space between the adjacent luminaires 20, 20. At this time, the leg portions 22a of the connector 22 are expanded outside toward the lower end, and so the lower ends of the leg portions 22a of the connector 22 can be surely locked by hitch portions 24 provided at the lower ends of opposed side walls 23a of the luminaire bodies 23, thus preventing the fall-off.
