<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that operation is stopped when paper sheets in all of the grouped paper feeding trays are used up although there is a method for preventing the stop of the operation by grouping a plurality of paper feeding trays and switching paper feed from one empty tray to other grouped cassette, in an image forming apparatus having a plurality of paper feeding trays. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, since a paper feeding tray with least residual paper amount is selected preferentially and paper sheets are fed thereto, a user can early recognize display of a paper-out condition of the paper feeding tray. There are the largest number paper sheets in the last paper feeding tray selected, so that there is enough time for the user to supply paper sheets since the user have been notified that it is the last paper feeding tray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
