<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of illuminating an image pickup area of a back view monitor for picking up an image of a part behind a vehicle without increasing the power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular backing light 3 comprises a light source 31 mounted so that the optical axis is directed to a rear side of a vehicle body, a first optical member 33a set to form the luminous distribution A to satisfy the function of the vehicular backing light by irradiating the light from the light source 31, and a second optical member 33b set to irradiate an area of an image pickup apparatus 2 for picking up an image of an area B around a rear side of the vehicle by irradiating the light other than the light used in the first optical member 33a out of the light from the light source 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
