PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit capable of minimizing an installation space, and being inexpensively manufactured and provided with good appearance by minimizing a distance between a cooled object and a cooling chamber by changing the layout of the cooling chamber and a machine chamber in the cooling unit. SOLUTION: This cooling unit comprises a refrigerating cycle 6 formed by circularly connecting a compressor 7, a condenser 8 and an evaporator 11, the cooling chamber 21 formed by heat insulating wall bodies 3, 19, 20, receiving the evaporator and a cooling fan 22 inside, and provided with a flow channel 27 for blowing off the cold air to the external and a return flow channel 28, and the machine chamber 5 receiving the compressor and the condenser, and the cooling chamber is disposed at a lower part of the machine chamber.
