The hood (100) has a housing surrounding a suction area, and a blower producing negative pressure in the area. A filter filters vapors sucked by the pressure. The housing has a quarter-circular profile with vertically and horizontally extending radial surfaces (10, 20) that are extending straight from a circle center (M) of the profile. The surface (20) is formed as a sucking surface for entry of the vapors into the suction area, and a quadrant-rounded front surface (30) connects ends of the surfaces with each other, where the ends are turned away from the circle center.
