PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is required to increase definition, numerical aperture and reliability in accordance with an increase in the area of a screen, while it is also required to increase productivity and reduce cost. SOLUTION: After jetting (or dropping) a liquid crystal material 114 only on a pixel electrode 121, i.e. a pixel portion, formed on a large-area substrate 110 by an inkjet method, the substrate 110 is stuck to a counter substrate. Further, it is also available to apply both of seal drawing and liquid crystal dropping to the counter substrate.
