<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article wherein a changed color of an indicator resulting from contact with fluid in urine or the like is visually recognizable and its moisture permeability can be maintained preferable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 has an absorber 3 and a back sheet 1 placed outside of the absorber, an indicator 13 the color of which changes resulting from contact with a fluid is placed between the absorber 3 and the back sheet 1, the back sheet 1 is equipped with a moisture-permeable sheet 11 on the side of the absorber and an exterior nonwoven fabric 12 outside of the absorber, a color difference between a color of the indicator 13 and a color of a part on which the indicator is placed as well as a color of the exterior nonwoven fabric 12 at least in its surrounding area w is less than 1.5 before the change of the color of the indicator and is 1.5 or more after the change of the color, and light transmission rates of the exterior nonwoven fabric 12 in the part on which the indicator is placed and at least its surrounding area w are 50% or higher.
