<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling apparatus efficiently filling a spherical box body equipped with an opening part with a liquid and satisfying a request for space saving. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid filling apparatus 10 for filling the spherical container 48 formed with the opening part 56 with a liquid is equipped with: a cylindrical member 12 erected vertically and provided with a diameter larger than the diameter of the spherical container 48; a container introducing opening 20 formed on this cylindrical member 12; a liquid jetting opening 16 provided at the lower part of the cylindrical member 12; and a first sphere receiving part 30 for receiving the spherical container 48 which is guided into the cylindrical member 12 from the container introducing opening 20 and is elevated in the cylindrical member 12 by receiving the pressure of the liquid jetted from the liquid jetting opening 16.
