<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic composition having the excellent water resistance, capable of maintaining a high hydrophilic property even after a long term storage in a high temperature high humidity environment without decline of its fungicidal effect, and a hydrophilic member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hydrophilic composition contains 50 mass% or more of a hydrophilic polymer of a specific structure having a hydrolyzable silyl group in the side chain as the solid component, and an additive having a fungicidal effect.
