<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding reel and a winder capable of facilitating automation of winding operation, and avoiding waste of a wire material by reducing a residual amount of the wire material after use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this winding system 10, the winding reel 20 is provided with a cylindrical winding core 21 for winding the wire material 13, and a flange section 26 holding the wire material 13 wound onto the winding core 21. The winding core 21 is provided with a through-passage 22 passed through for passing and inserting the wire material 13 from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side, and a retaining section 25 arranged in the inner peripheral side 21a so as to retain the leading end 13a of the wire material 13 passed through and inserted in the through-passage 22 in a condition bent in an opposite direction B relative to a reel rotating direction A along the inner peripheral surface 21a of the winding core 21. The winder 30 is provided with a substantially cylindrical pinching member 60 arranged inside the winding core 21 and pinching the leading end 13a of the wire material 13 between the retaining section 25 and itself, and a bending mechanism 50 moving along the inner circumference of the winding core 21 and bending the leading end 13a of the wire material 13 in cooperation with the retaining section 25.
