<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper containing device with reduced operational load required in operating a drawer part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A drive part 34h has a motor 81, and a plurality of gears driven by the motor 81 to drive a shaft. When the shaft is driven, a wire is wound up by the shaft and a bottom plate 34e is lifted by the wire. An uppermost paper sheet out of loaded paper sheets of the bottom plate 34e abuts on a pickup roller 321 of a paper feeding part 32 and is aligned. The drive part 34h has a rotating member 82 pressed and rotated by a guide 313 disposed on a device body part 31 side when a drawer unit 33 is mounted to a predetermined position of the device body 31.
