<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new stabilizer efficiently suppressing photolysis of a dibenzoylmethane derivative incorporated with a cosmetic and the like as an ultraviolet absorber and its use, and a stabilizing method of a dibenzoylmethane derivative-containing composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The stabilizer for suppressing photolysis of a dibenzoylmethane derivative comprises fullerenes as an effective ingredient. Incorporation of the stabilizer for suppressing photolysis with the dibenzoylmethane derivative-containing composition such as a cosmetic, a skin care preparation for external use and the like stabilizes the composition against light.
