<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake device having a reservoir capable of ensuring operation with high reliability by a simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The reservoir 13 has a cylinder 23; a cover member 24 arranged in the cylinder 23 so as to close an opening part 23a of the cylinder 23; an elastic displacement member 26 displaceably arranged in a storage space 25 between the cylinder 23 and the cover member 24; and a stopper also used as a preliminary chamber formation member 80 arranged in the cover member 24. Between the stopper also used as the preliminary chamber formation member 80 and cover member 24, the preliminary chamber 84 is formed, and the preliminary chamber 84 is communicated with an air chamber 25a through a penetration hole 85 bored on the stopper also used as the preliminary chamber formation member 80 and a fine clearance between the stopper also used as the preliminary chamber formation member 80 and a cylinder recession part 27.
