PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure of a building and a construction method for a building capable of reducing a construction period at site and a construction cost by adopting steel skeletons in construction of a platform of a distribution center, a plant, and a warehouse. SOLUTION: In this foundation structure, a floor assembly of a first floor such as a platform is formed of steel floor beams 3, 4. A column locking device 10 comprising an anchor bolt 11 and a support frame 12 is installed on the head section of a pile 1 on the lower side of a skeleton column 2. The lower section of the skeleton column 2 is bolted to the upper section of the column locking device 10. The intermediate section of the floor beam 3 is locked by the beam locking device 20 comprising a locking device 21 and a pedestal metal fitting 22. After the pile 1 and a foundation footing 30 are constructed, a step is moved to a construction step of a skeleton formed integrally with an upper skeleton without subjecting to a conventional step of constructing a floor slabfloor beam by reinforced concrete for reducing the construction period and the construction cost.
