PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide valve gear improving durability of a device. SOLUTION: The slide valve device 1 is incorporated along the way of transport passages 71, 73 of powder and granular material to perform a transport control of the powdery and granular material transported in the transport passages. The slide valve device 1 comprises: a tabular slide valve element 20 having a through-hole part 22 and a closing part 24; a slide valve element housing 10 which has a space 15 reciprocatably housing a slide valve element, and in which an upstream opening part 13 is formed; an pneumatic slide valve drive means 40 connected to the slide valve element, making the slide valve element housed in the slide valve element housing reciprocate to position the through-hole part and the closing part to the upstream opening part. An upstream cutout part 28 extended along a slide direction is formed to at least any one of an upstream edge part of a closing part side end part of the through-hole part of the slide valve element, and a downstream edge part of a terminal end side end part in a closing direction of the upstream opening part of the slide valve element housing.
