The transmitter has a housing, and an acceleration-, movement- and inclination sensor (100) for detecting movement of the transmitter and detecting positions of the transmitter relative to horizontal and vertical planes. A transmitting signal suitable for controlling door drives is transmitted based on the movement detected by the movement sensor. An actuator (52) is provided with individual transmission keys (60). A locking device (56) locks the actuator. A receiver unit (85) receives a status message from the drives. A display device (54) e.g. LED (62), indicates the transmission process. An independent claim is also included for a door drive system with a door drive and a transmitter.
