The pane (10) has a hollow chamber (12) storing a fluid (28) for darkening the pane, where the fluid is movable for darkening a sub-area of the hollow chamber and consists of Galinstan. The sub-area is designed as a capillary tube (20). The hollow chamber extends over an entire surface of the pane. A storage device (16) i.e. elongated circular channel (18), is arranged at a boundary region (14) of the hollow chamber for storing the fluid. Inner walls (22, 24) of the pane facing the hollow chamber exhibit a coating in an area-wise. The inner walls are coated with gallium oxide area by area.
