<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel for reducing an adverse effect of external light on sensitivity and precision. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel is provided with: a light guide plate 101 for sensing arranged on a display surface of a liquid crystal display panel 301, provided with an upper surface, an lower surface and a side end surface, and arranged so that a sensing object 106 contacts to the upper surface, and the lower surface faces the display surface of the display panel 301; a sensor 104 sensing the light emitted from the side end surface of the plate 101; and a light shielding layer 900 arranged on an outer circumference part of the plate 101 so as to cover the upper surface, the lower surface and the side end surface. A visible light source 401 for display is arranged in a backlight of the display panel 301, and a light source 402 for sensing emitting infrared light for sensing is attached to the backlight. The infrared light for sensing is guided to the plate 101 from a lower surface side through the backlight. A visible light cut filler 308 selectively transmitting the infrared light is arranged between the sensor 104 and the side end surface of the plate 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
