<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of cooling an optical element effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes a liquid-cooling device 6 that causes a cooling liquid to circulate along an annular flow channel C and cools an optical element with the cooling liquid. The liquid-cooling device 6 includes an optical element holding section 61 configured to allow a flow of the cooling liquid therein and to hold the optical element so as to transfer heat to the cooling liquid, a liquid pumping section 62 configured to suck and pump the cooling liquid, and a plurality of liquid circulation members 66 configured to connect the optical element holding section 61 and the liquid pumping section 62 and to define the annular flow channel C. The projector has a Peltier element 72 having a heat-absorbing surface 721 and a heat-radiating surface 722, and connected to the liquid-cooling device 6 to transfer the heat to the liquid-cooling device 6 by the heat-absorbing surface 721. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
