<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced grid of a nuclear fuel assembly which has a base grid constituted like an egg box as a main support structure and where a locking support sleeve that can rotate between a first position and a second position in each of support cells of the base grid supporting fuel rods. <P>SOLUTION: The locking support sleeve loosely fits into the support cells of the base grid in the first position and loosely accepts loaded fuel rods.
