<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure which improves its production efficiency and its yield of raw materials. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the honeycomb structure, a honeycomb molding body 100 having partition walls dividing and forming a plurality of cells being extended from one of end surface 1 to the other end surface 2, that is to say a flow passage of a fluid, is molded by extrusion-molding molding materials. An aggregate 120 of portion segments is formed by forming a plurality of cuts being extended in a cell-extending direction so that a plurality of portion segments 3 may be divided and formed in the honeycomb molding body 100. Then, the honeycomb structure body 130 is obtained by forming a buffer part 5 among the adjacent respective portion segments 3 of the aggregate 120 so that the total spaces among the adjacent respective portion segments are filled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
