Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing integrity in equipment such as a rotary machine by sound signals is characterized in that sound signals generated during the operation of the equipment are measured, the proper regression coefficient of a self-regression model is calculated and stored by using the least-squares method and maximum entropy method, the regression coefficient is applied to the sound signals generated during the equipment is checked and measured to calculate a residual, and the normality or abnormality of the equipment is determined according to the comparison of the magnitude of the residual.
