<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and firmly attach an armrest of a chair in a comfortable position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Either the end face of an arm rod 30 which extends outward and laterally under a seat of the chair or the inner end face of an inward part 34a which faces inward from the lower end of an armrest support 34 is formed into a chevron-shaped convex surface 31. The other is formed into a concave surface 36 in a V-shaped groove and substantially in a supplementary shape of the convex surface 31. The convex surface 31 and the concave surface 36 are brought into close contact with each other. An axis part 14a is passed through a through-hole 39 arranged in the inward part 34a so that a diameter expansion head 14b of a connecting bolt 14 may be fitted in an insertion hole 40 which is arranged in the inward part 34a and is open outward and laterally and a male thread part 14c arranged at the end of the connecting bolt 14 is screwed into a threaded hole 32 which is arranged in the arm rod 30 for screw-engaging the arm rod 30 in the armrest support 34.
