PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device of an elevator capable of reducing loads normally required and surely performing blocking of door closing operation in the event of a power failure by a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: This door device of the elevator opening/closing a car door 6 and a landing door in an engaged condition by door driving means (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) provided in a car 1, is provided with a gear wheel-like stopper 20 provided in the pulley 9 of the door driving means, a lever 21 engageable with this stopper, and a solenoid 22 operating the lever. Normally, the lever is retained at a position not contacted with the stopper by the solenoid, and in response to power blockade during door opening/closing operation, the lever is released from the solenoid, and engaged with the stopper by its own weight.
