<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP having a high parallelism between a front substrate and a back substrate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes a sealing layer 17 formed on a peripheral end between the front face glass substrate 1 and the back face glass substrate 3 to seal both substrates to each other, glass beads GB1, GB2 existing in the sealing layer 17, and barrier ribs 15. The sealing layer 17 is formed in a framed shape with sealing layers 17A on the short side and sealing layers 17B on the long side extending in the direction perpendicular to the sealing layers 17A. In the sealing layers 17B on the long side, the glass beads GB2 exist which have grain sizes r2 larger than grain sizes r1 of the glass beads GB1 existing in the sealing layers 17A on the short side.
