PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment furnace for a plate-like member which allows a large-sized plate-like member to be heat-treated. SOLUTION: The heat treatment furnace for the plate-like member is provided for heat-treating the plate-like member 50, while transferring it in the furnace length direction of a tunnel-like furnace body 1. A plurality of rollers 2, extending into the furnace, from both sidewalls 1b of the furnace body 1 are rotatably disposed in the furnace length direction so as to face one another, and gas blowoff ports 18a that opens upward are disposed between the tips 2a of the opposed rollers 2. In a state with the plate-like member 50 placed on the rollers 2, a gas is blown off to the plate-like member 50 from the gas blowoff ports 18a, and the rollers 2 are rotated in a fixed direction of transferring the plate-like member 50 in the furnace length direction of the furnace body 1.
