<p>Provided is an imaging device which can simultaneously take images of different areas for images which are input from one camera, and which has little image quality degradation. The imaging device is connected to a memory (7) for use, and has an imaging element (3) which can read out any areas, a main image-storing component (15) which reads out images of a main image area which are whole images formed in the imaging element (3) and stores these images in the memory (7) as main images, a duplicate image-storing component (16) which reads out images of observation regions, which are regions which are to be observed, from said imaging element (3) and stores these images in the memory (7) as duplicate images, an encoder (8) which compresses the main images and duplicate images which have been stored in the memory (7) by means of said main image-storing component (15) and said duplicate image-storing component (16), and a recording component (9) which records, on a recording medium, the main images and duplicate images which have been compressed by means of said encoder (8).</p> |
