PROCESS OF MAKING NORTH AMERICAN GINSENG FRACTION, PRODUCT CONTAINING THE SAME AND USE AS IMMUNOMODULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chemical formation processes of preparing fractions from North American ginseng (Panax quinquefolium), and to provide pharmaceutical compositions containing the fractions.

SOLUTION: Ginseng fractions PQ2 and PQ223 are produced by isolating precipitates obtained from North American ginseng by repeating extraction and separation, which extraction is performed by using a solvent such as an alcohol or water at a certain temperature for a few hours.
