<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller and an electric power steering device capable of ensuring high output performance stably by smoothing motor rotation in two-phase drive following the occurrence of an energization failure. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer detects each phase current value of a motor based on an output signal of each current sensor which is acquired at a prescribed sampling period.
