<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette type radiograph detector, which is a transportable flat panel detector (FPD) having compatibility with a cassette for CR and capable of preventing occurrence of failure due to friction with a flexible cable in a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A cassette type radiograph detector 1 comprises a housing 3 incorporating an image detection unit 2 including a sensor panel 21 equipped with a plurality of photoelectric conversion means 152 formed on a substrate 213 and a scintillator 211 for converting incident radiation into light, a base 24 provided with a circuit 23 related to the photoelectric conversion means 152 on the surface opposite to a surface facing the sensor panel 21, and a flexible cable 26 for connecting the photoelectric conversion means 152 on the sensor panel 21 and the circuit 23 on the base 24, and has a side face 31S facing the flexible cable 26 in the housing 3 and having a curved surface.
