PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove affection of vortex resulting from a gradient magnetic field in a phase encode direction. SOLUTION: A zero-th component of a phase encode in which affection of vortex resulting from a gradient magnetic field G<SB>PE</SB>for the phase encode in a phase encode (PE) direction is dominant is measured by two prescannings, for example first and second prescannings A and B. On the basis of the zero-th component of the phase encode, affection of vortex resulting from a gradient magnetic field G<SB>PE</SB>for the phase encodein a phase encode (PE) direction is corrected in the present scan.
