<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake tone adjusting device and an intake tone adjusting method capable of adjusting frequency of intake tone emitted to an open air to desired frequency by vibration of an elastic body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This intake tone adjusting device 1 is provided with a communication pipe 4 communicating with a clean side intake duct 16 at one end and communicating with the open air at another end, and an elastic body 6 blocking the communication pipe 4. A magnetized part 36 is provided at the elastic body 6. The device is provided with a magnetic force generating means 8 arranged to oppose to the elastic body 6 and generating magnetic force to a surface external direction of the elastic body 6, and a magnetic force change means 10 changing intensity of magnetic force generated by the magnetic force generating means 8 to keep natural frequency of the elastic body 6 to the surface external direction at desired natural frequency. The magnetic force change means 10 changes intensity of magnetic force generated by the magnetic force generating means 8 in such a manner that the desired natural frequency changes according to change of engine speed.
