<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorine dioxide gas generating device having a simplified and lightweight configuration and improved handling property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The chlorine dioxide gas generating device is equipped with a storage container 1 storing stabilized chlorine dioxide 2 in a gel state, a storing section 8 for granular citric acid having an outlet hole 9 to drop granular citric acid 11 onto the stabilized chlorine dioxide in a gel state in the storage container 1, and a cap 4 of the storage container 1. The storage container 1 and the cap 4 are configured to turn; and when the cap 4 is turned, vibration is imparted to the storing section 8 to drop and supply the granular citric acid 11 in the storing section 8 through the outlet hole 9 onto the stabilized chlorine dioxide in a gel state in the storage container 1 to thereby bring the granular citric acid 11 into contact with the stabilized chlorine dioxide 2 to generate chlorine dioxide gas.
