PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an ozone collection method, improved in ozone collection efficiency. SOLUTION: The charging apparatus 109 includes: an air fan 108 disposed to send air from the rear side of an electrode and discharge the air containing the ozone from a first opening 109A; a suction duct 109B disposed on the downstream side of the first opening 109A in the rotating direction of a photoreceptor 101; and an isolating member 103 disposed on the upstream side of the first opening 109A in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor 101. The air containing the ozone is discharged from the first opening 109A, sucked by the suction duct, and then is discharged outside the image forming apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
