PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for use in the generation of vibrations, which can surely inhibit the opening of a closed door by making a rolling member lock the slide of a sliding member when the vibrations are generated by earthquakes etc. SOLUTION: This locking device 1 for use in the generation of the vibrations unopenably locks the door D in the closing of a furniture body A during the vibrations. A locking device body 10 comprises: a case 11 which is attached to either the door D or the furniture body A, and which has an opening 21 formed in a front portion; the sliding member 70 which slides in a longitudinal direction in the case 11; an elastic member 94 which urges the sliding member 70 to the side of the opening 21; holding arms 110 and 110 which are opened when the sliding member 70 slides forward, and which are closed when the sliding member 70 slides backward; and a rolling element 50 which remains stationary in a position not to inhibit the slide of the sliding member 70, during the nonvibrations, and which inhibits the slide of the sliding member 70 by moving from a prescribed position during the vibrations.
