PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt fixation method which requires no belt fixation work manually performed after interrupting an operation of pushing coke out of a coke oven. SOLUTION: In the method for fixing a belt 12 in belt lifting equipment 11, a fixed duct 10 connected to a dust collector in a coke oven operation is connected to the dust collection movable duct of a coke oven moving machine by lifting the belt 12 laid on the upper opening 10a part of the fixed duct 10. A belt presser metal 13 is applied over the entire region of the laid belt 12. In the belt lifting position, the belt pressor metal 13 is detached from the upper opening 10a of the fixed duct 10. In a position except the belt lifting position, the belt 12 is fixed after the belt presser metal 13 is moved so as to be mounted on the upper part of the belt 12 when there is an anticipated risk of turn or separation of the belt 12 on the fixed duct 10.
