PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a sensor for a vehicle capable of preventing excessive stress from acting on a detecting part of a sensor body without extremely enhancing machining accuracy of an exposed hole and mounting accuracy of the sensor. SOLUTION: A retainer 9 is mounted on a rear face of a bumper 1, and the sensor body 4 is held by the retainer 9. In a peripheral region of the detecting part 5 of the sensor body 4, an intermediate wall 12 separated from an outer peripheral surface of the detecting part 5 and projecting toward a surface side of the bumper 1 is provided. A shock absorbing member 13 is mounted to stretch from the detecting part 5 of the sensor body 4 to an outer peripheral side of the intermediate wall 12. The detecting part 5 and the shock absorbing member 13 are fitted into the exposed hole 3 of the bumper 1 and load from the bumper 1 is received by the intermediate wall 12.
