Method for producing a concrete sleeper, comprising the following steps: inserting pretensioned steel elements into a sleeper mould, simultaneous automated tensioning of the individual pretensioned steel elements, introduction of concrete into the sleeper mould, leaving the concrete to set, removal of the concrete sleeper from the mould, wherein more than four, in particular five to eight, pretensioned steel elements are used for a concrete sleeper and the pretensioned steel elements are tensioned individually but nevertheless simultaneously.
