<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which effectively prevents and cures diseases caused by immune abnormality such as allergic diseases, has few side effects, is safe and easy to drink or ingest, and has an immunomodulating function, and to provide foods and drinks or a material for foods and drinks using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The immunomodulating compositon comprises at least one of (A) and (B). The foods and the drinks or a material for foods and drinks contain the composition. (A): Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris FC, FERM AP-20185 having an ability to induce the production of interleukin 10 and interleukin 12 from at least one of the dendritic cells and the spleen cells of mammals.
