<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit for a printer for stabilizing reading of a bar code and to provide the printer provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The control unit for the printer creates printing data including bar code data from image data including input bar code information and then gives the printing data to the printer.
