<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition serving as an antifouling paint which is capable of developing an antifouling effect under seawater over a long period of time while keeping a coating film strength, even without containing an antifouling chemical component, and is excellent in adhesiveness and recoating properties. <P>SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises a metal-containing copolymer as a vehicle, provided that the metal-containing copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing a fluorine-containing monomer (a) and other monomers (b) and contains a divalent metal atom. In the metal-containing copolymer, the other monomers (b) comprise a divalent metal-containing monomer. The metal-containing copolymer comprises 1-50 mass% fluorine-containing monomer (a) and 1-25 mass% metal content based on the total monomers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
