<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device which has less overhang from a steering column shaft, is compact, and has high crime prevention. <P>SOLUTION: The electric steering lock device 5 comprises: a solenoid 51 for driving a plunger 512 based on power supply; a turning force conversion part 52 which faces the solenoid 51 via a steering column shaft 8 of a vehicle 1, is connected to the steering column shaft 8, and includes a lock gear part 522 in which a turning force transmitted to the steering column shaft 8 is converted; and a lock part 53 for regulating the turning of the steering column shaft 8 by regulating the turning of the lock gear part 522 from the drive of the plunger 512. The electric steering lock device is entirely compact, has less overhang from the steering column shaft 8, and has high crime prevention since it is impervious to impact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
