<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of classifying particles which can sufficiently remove a first particle group including coarse particles. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method of classifying particles comprises: (1) a sieving process to remove a first particle group from a particle mixture containing particles which hold a liquid or a gas internally, when particles of a larger particle diameter than a specified value as a reference in the particle mixture, is given as the first particle group, and particles other than the first particle group in the particle mixture are given as a second particle group, and (2) a particle classification process to dry classify a particle mixture after the sieving process, by a difference in the masses of individual particles and fluid resistance imparted to individual particles, in the fluid.
