<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a light transmissive cover part arranged to cover a display part is unlikely to be damaged. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone handset 1 includes: an operation part side case body 2 having an operation surface 2A where an operation key group 11 is arranged; a display part side case body 3 having a display surface 3A where a display part 21 is arranged; a connection part 4 for connecting the operation part side case body 2 with the display part side case body 3 so as to be opened and closed; a light transmissive front panel 3a having a part to be held by a holding part 205, which is a part different from the display part 21; and projection parts 110a and 110b formed at a part different from the operation key group 11 on the operation surface 2A and provided with flat abutting parts 120a and 120b and inclined parts 130a and 130b.
