<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a whisker useful as an organic filler for giving high reinforcement effect, heat-resistance and wear-resistance when it is formulated to a thermoplastic resin, and a thermoplastic resin composition formulated with it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The whisker which is a polymer of an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid having a thickness of a needle-like part of 5-15 μm, the thermoplastic resin composition formulated with the whisker, a molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition, a film comprising the thermoplastic resin composition, and a fiber comprising the thermoplastic resin composition are provided.
