<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper control device for a vehicle that ensures safer visibility during traveling in the rain. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a temporary wiping mode does not represent a stopped state (S412: NO) with an obstacle present in front of one's own vehicle (S414: YES), it is set as one's own vehicle speed >0 km/h (S415: YES), and predicted time of reaching the front obstacle is less than first prescribed time (S416:NO), the wiper control device enhances a wiping mode such that the wiping frequency per unit time becomes higher than that of the temporary wiping mode (S411) determined from the amount of raindrops, the vehicle speed, and the setting sensibility (S417).
