The present invention relates to a prosthetic unit composed of an absorbable and biocompatible viscoelastic gel material (1) and comprising, around the gel (1), a membrane (2) composed of a second absorbable and biocompatible material for generating a reaction around the prosthesis so as to cause a delay of the absorption of said gel (1). The present invention also relates to a method for the formation of a prosthetic unit according to the invention in a serpentine shape, and to the use of a prosthetic unit according to the invention for producing a prosthesis for reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. |
